The Captains Team Tournaments are two well established golf competitions for golf club Captains, Lady Captains and their teams. Whilst they are completely separate events both will be played at the same five locations throughout England & Scotland during September. (

All the regional champions will be invited to compete for their respective national titles at the magnificent De Vere Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa near Chester. The national finals will be played over the fantastic championship ”Cheshire” course on Monday 9th October 2006. Overnight accommodation will be arranged for Sunday 8th October, the night preceding the finals.

The cost of entry at each regional event is £159 per team of four and includes a snack breakfast on arrival, 18 holes of competition golf in a “Stableford Am–Am” format, followed by a three course meal and prize presentation. The Regional winners will receive a team trophy and there will be prizes for the first three places. Whilst the tournaments are aimed at the current captain and lady captains, clubs can enter as many teams as they like. Each team however must contain, in the men’s case, the captain, vice captain or a past captain and likewise in a ladies team the lady captain, lady vice captain or a past lady captain.
Although not everyone will be lucky enough to go on to play at De Vere Carden Park each regional event always proves to be a super day in its own right. The Captains Team Tournaments are a terrific way to round off the playing season and therefore a must for all Captains and Lady Captains past, present and future.
